49%

Its like music to the ears. Forty-Nine percent. That's how much of the U.S. approves of President Bush's job performance, according to the newest Gallup Poll. This is the lowest ever of the Bush presidency.

...and there was much rejoicing and mbare danced in the streets saying, "See, i told ya he sucks!" (Possible pictures later.)

Sadly, thats more than enough to get him reelected, especially if the green party puts up such a big effort again.

What's the deal with the Greens this time? They got a plan?

And is it just me, or was that 2000 mess... like... yesterday? Time flies when your president sucks?

The 2000 election was a disaster, if we have a repeat, we're doomed...that just proved that we now have the best democracy money can buy. ouch..get em' outta there

Campaign credentials?: Clark and Kerry: War Vets. Bush: "Texas National Guard......ummmm....I beat Saddam!"

Don't go blaming the Greens for Gore losing. Besides the horrors of the felonious felon purge by Jeb Bush and Katherine "Conflict-of-interest" Harris in 2000, Florida also miscounted a lot of overseas ballots (some were postmarked past the allowed date, some weren't even from overseas (postmarked in Virginia!). Read Stupid White Men for more details.

Basically depending on Florida for ANYTHING is not sound policy. What would have been nice would have been Gore winning his own home state.

I wouldn't blame Nader as much as I blame the 11% of voters who identified themselves as democrats and voted for Bush. Unbelievable. Also the 15% who voted for Clinton in 1996 that voted for Bush in 2000. But yeah, there far too many factors... I think the most telling is the question, "U.S. Needs..." Option 1: Fresh Start (41% of voters) 24% Gore, 71% Bush. Option 2: Stay on Course (56% of voters) 68% Gore, 29% Bush.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2000/results/ (Click on exit polls on the presidential election table at the bottom right - extremely interesting. Say what you want, but I believe exit polls are more accurate than the real ones.)
