From Weather Underground's current winter weather statement for the DC area:

"The unsettled weather is expected to continue Friday night into Saturday as the storm transfers its energy offshore. Some snow accumulations will be possible. However... it is too early to denote exact accumulations with any confidence. Therefore... monitor this source for later statements.

A Winter Storm Watch is issued when severe winter weather is possible, but not imminent. At the time, there is a potential for significant snow and/or ice accumulations. Future driving and walking conditions may become hazardous, so it is important to monitor the latest forecasts."

"Future driving and walking"?

When I run for President in 2020, man will walk on ice and snow hazardously. Needless to say, snowshoes will be a big part of my platform.
