Space Ads

I've always liked looking at the stars, but this idiot wants to use the night sky for advertising. By using satellites to reflect sunlight back to Earth, he'll somehow make us want to go out and buy something. As if commercialism wasn't bad enough in our world. I'd really hate for the night to be tainted by blockbuster movie trailers, red cars and blue erectile dysfunction pills.

I did at one point in high school during lunch say, "Whoever thought to put an ad on the side of a Mountain Dew can was pretty damn bright." This space isn't bright so much as it is asinine. I don't think advertising should be allowed in places or mediums that don't need that revenue to subsist. In fact, advertising shouldn be banned in any public place, like schools, government buildings, and parks.

Apparently, similar plans were once harbored by a Georgia company that wanted to launch huge billboards into low orbit that would have appeared as large as the moon. I can't imagine what kind of calls the police would get about a giant glowing Apple logo floating over their house at 3 a.m.
