I have great respect for a man that did not want to lash out violently against the state, rather awaken our thoughts by great dreams ... that all people should embrace each other with compasion.

try to be the only "x" in an all "o" environment and see the difference it makes

I think MLK would have been proud of Senator Boxer and of Jesse Jackson and Jesse Jackson Jr., among others.

It is discouraging to know that more people protested the RNC last summer than participated in the March on Washington. One was considered an historic event and the other was considered a security "problem".

It is daunting to look ahead to the battle that we face to come closer to making MLK dreams a reality. At times I fear we have stepped backwards rather than moved ahead.

I will continue to speak out. I hope and pray that more Americans each day wake up to the realities of what our country has become and join the fight for justice and integrity which are now sorely lacking in our nation.
