A year ago, when I checked out mbare.com, it wasn't yet "constructed"! I wanted that domain, and now... NOW they decide it's worthy of their... art?
Dear friends at mbare.com,
Please mail me a set of this silverwear or at least the letter opener, and a mahogany hippo for my troubles. I doubt you will... But OH WAIT! I can't even add things to my own shopping basket if I really did want your stuffs. I had to become an organization, all by myself, because of you. Those of us mbares north of the equator, we don't do art, we do... we do... sigh... we do nothing worthwhile. I hope your .com bubble bursts soon, so I can take the domain name that is rightly mine! Muahaha!
Best wishes 'n stuff,
The entire mbare.org organization
Anyway... I miss politics. Maybe I should do art?
Unfortunately, for now, I'm voluntarily taking a break from my political stuff. I don't want anything bad to happen to my life because of what I write here. Most of you can probably figure out the reasons for this. Other than the main reasons, I really don't think I'll have time. This will be a busy semester.
I'm a little sad I won't be able to comment much on the various campaigns and elections and Bush idiocy that'll be going on, but I'm already over it. Feel free to pick my mind in email, IM, or call me up, if you ever have that "I need to discuss politics with Mike Bare" feeling. In fact, skip contacting me. Seek help immediately if you have that feeling.
Don't fret (I know you're not), politics will be back in May with, I'm sure, some good stories to tell. Until then, I'll use this space for ramblings that are even more useless than ever before!
The Bare Family Xmas photo album is posted over on the gallery. Take a look and have a laugh or two!
I accurately picked all of last week's winners, though I was a little off on how the games would go. This weekend's games are all very very difficult to call. Anyway, here's what I think will happen:
Saturday Games:
Carolina v. St. Louis: St. Louis ends the Carolina season in this very hard to call game. I think the potent St. Louis offense is too much for Carolina at home.
Tennessee v. New England: I think the Pats take this one in the cold cold cold at home. The Pats also have John Kerry's endorsement. :)
Sunday Games:
Indianapolis v. Kansas City: I have no idea. This game is absolutely unpredictable. On a whim - Kansas City.
Green Bay v. Philadelphia: Packers! Duh. Got to have one upset.
I've never been the biggest football fan, but for some reason I paid more attention than usual for the 2003 season. I did some pretty good work predicting who would win their divisions in the 2003 baseball season, so here are my picks for the NFL playoffs.
Saturday's games:
Dallas v. Carolina -- Sorry Parcels. Don't eat me. Carolina by a nose in a real close game.
Tennessee v. Baltimore -- Tennessee, on McNair's soldiers.
Sunday's games:
Indianapolis v. Denver -- Indianapolis. Denver without no. 7? No way.
Seattle v. Green Bay -- Mike v. Mike in Mike the First's old digs? Mike the Second is due a big playoff win. They have the momentum. Packers take it in stride with 14° to 20° at game time, and a 40% chance of snow on the frozen tundra. The power of cheese.
