summer discgolf

I was thinking there should be a "Friends of mbare" discgolf league kinda thinger this summer. We could get together on a chosen night each week, throw in a dollar or two, and hand out the cash to the best score. And no, I don't propose this because I think it'd be profitable for me. I propose this because it will be hard to get games together this summer. So if we have at least one time per week we can all plan for, it'll be advantageous for all! Anyone interested?

Insanity

When you have to write a paper about writing papers - you know life has taken a turn for insanity, n'est pas?

It's too bad, cuz there's so many amazing things happening in the world that I could be writing about instead. When I read the headlines the other day, I said to myself, "What a mess." I'll get around to that eventually.

MLB Picks!

Well... last year I did better than most of the staff at ESPN in picking the division winners. I stupidly picked Montreal, thus missing the perfect prediction. DOH. Soooo... Here goes 2004! And yay for being able to wear my baseball tie on Monday.

AL East: Quite possibly the hardest pick of the year, but the Yankees have a more reliable lineup and an equal pitching staff to the Red Sox - not to mention better management. So Yankees it is. Blah.

AL Central: Another tough call, but I'm going to go with Minnesota.

AL West: Seattle.. cuz... um... I don't like Oakland.

NL East: Florida. Touch choice here. Atlanta might pull it off again. Hard to say.

NL Central: Chicago Cubs probably have the best pitching in the league, so they get the pick... and then there's the stupid Brewers.

NL West: Barry Bonds
